Day 1: Fly to kisoro and transfer to bwindi impenetrable national park
Connect with a charter flight to Kisoro from Entebbe international airport, or Kajjansi airstrip. On landing in Kisoro airstrip, you will be transferred to your lodge situated on the fringes of Bwindi impenetrable forest.
Depending on your time of arrival, you can enjoy the tranquility of the forest and the vistas from the smoky canopy. Alternatively, join the hiking trail to the Batwa community for an epic cultural encounter.
Have a night’s stay at the lodge and prepare for another epic adventure.
Day 2: Bwindi gorilla trekking and tranfer to kigali
Early in the morning, enjoy a hearty breakfast at the lodge. Join the other trekkers for a briefing at Bwindi Park headquarters; learn about the rules and regulations of gorilla trekking, and the dos and don’ts when you encounter the gorillas.
Led by knowledgeable guides and skilled rangers, hike into the forest for actual gorilla trekking. Thanks to the introduction of the new gorilla families; expect to find your gorilla family within the average time of trekking.
Spend about an hour with your gorilla family; delve into learning the communication and interaction patterns like copulation, and social skills. You will be allowed to take photos with the gorillas; remember to follow the guidelines.
After gorilla trekking, you will hit the road again for the scenic journey to Kigali through the Cyanika border. Depending on the time you reach, check into your cozy hotel in Kigali.
you can choose to stay at the hotel and relax, or enjoy an evening in Kigali city. Enjoy the visit to the local markets in Nyabugogo or a visit to the presidential museum.
Day 3: Kigali city tour and departure
Early in the morning, after your breakfast at the hotel, continue with your Kigali city tour. embark on the visit to the genocide grounds and Nyamatama church. Delve deep into the history of the 1994 rwanda genocide. The visual displays of video narrations, unfold the truth and evoke emotions in all the visitors.
