2 Days Sipi Falls School Trip
Overview
The 2-day school trip is an opportunity for students to explore the adventures of the eastern tourism route of Uganda. During this trip, the students will be taken to Sipi Falls; the major destination for the school trip. One of the major activities is visiting Sipi Falls, where they can get a chance to take photos, and also learn about the geography of the area. The students will also have a chance to visit and hike the coffee plantations found on the foothills of mountain Elgon.

Day 1: Travel to Jinja City
The first day of the 2-day Sipi Falls school trip will begin with the briefing of the students while at the school premises. This will help to prepare them before hitting the road for the trip’s adventures. The briefing is aimed at equipping the students with the best way of conducting the trip and a glimpse of the whole trip.
After the briefing, the students will be expected to get settled in the vehicles and then begin on the journey via Jinja Road. At Jinja, the students will have a chance to see the new Jinja bridge before our enroute to Jinja City where students will enjoy the source of the Nile activities and lunch break. After that, we will head straight for Sipi Falls in Mbale. And the students will be checked into their hotel where they will have supper and a night’s rest.
Day 2:Sipi Falls hike
Early in the morning the students will have breakfast at the guest hours and after embark on the journey to sipi falls. The students will be given time to enjoy the scenic views of mountain elgon and inquire about anything from the local tour guide. After, the students will embark on the sipi falls hike as the local guides explain all the phenomenon along the way.
Finally at the top of the hill the students will have time to enjoy the sights and sounds of sipi fall. The students are also expected to be able to take notes as the trip unfolds; for study and revision purposes. After the sights of sipi falls, the students will head back to the vehicle and continue with the return journey to Kampala via the same route as it is the shortest.
School trip rules and regulations
- No student is expected to move away from the general team
- All students should pay attention to the facilitator while instructions are communicated during the trip
- Students are supposed to keep discipline and order during the journeys, and all through the school trip
- All immorality, hooliganism and vandalism are greatly not accepted during the school trip.
