Day 1: Arrival on Zanzibar island.
Arrive in Zanzibar via flight from Arusha, known for its beautiful beaches, warm weather, and abundant marine life. Check into hotel, then go on a full-day beach tour, taking in the scenery and having lunch. Afternoon allows for swimming and taking photos against the stunning backdrop of white sand and clear waters. End the day with a night fire, dinner, and rest before the next adventure.
Day 2: Beach Walks, Snorkelling And Diving.
Begin your day with a tasty breakfast by the ocean, followed by a beach walk to enjoy the surroundings. Prepare for water activities like snorkeling and diving. Have an adventure snorkeling and diving in the island’s crystal blue waters, equipped with necessary gear. Spot various marine life including fish, turtles, and even dolphins. Don’t miss this thrilling experience. After lunch at the hotel, spend the rest of the day exploring Zanzibar’s beautiful beaches and island.
Day 3: Jozan forest and spice tour.
Start with a hearty breakfast at the hotel, then go on a Zanzibar Spice Tour. Learn why the island is called the “Spice Island” and see various spices, including clove, nutmeg, cardamom, turmeric, cinnamon, chili, and black pepper. Also learn about plants used for medicine. Observe the spice cultivation, processing, and purchase some as souvenirs. Return for lunch and prepare for the afternoon activity. Visit Jozani forest for a guided nature walk, learning about medicinal plants and observing the rare Red Colobus Monkeys and other wildlife. Take in the beautiful mangrove and ocean views. After the hike, relax and enjoy the rest of the day on the island.
Day 4: Prison Island cruise and Dhow sunset sail.
Start your day with breakfast, then embark on a boat cruise to Prison Island. Also known as Changuu Island or Quarantine Island, this island was used as a prison for rebellious slaves in 1860. Once on the island, take a nature walk, and participate in activities such as swimming, diving, and snorkeling. Enjoy a picnic lunch, and a beach walk. In the afternoon, join a Dhow cruise for a sunset sail. Enjoy the peacefulness of the ocean and the marine life as the boat glides through the clear turquoise waters. Return to the hotel in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 5: Dolphin tour and relaxation
Begin the day with an early morning breakfast, then head to Kizimkazi, home to a large population of dolphins. Take a tour, interact and swim with the dolphins, an exciting and enlightening experience. Learn about the characteristics, nature and behavior of these intelligent and social marine mammals, which live in complex family groups called pods. Take a lunch break at a designated hotel in the area. In the afternoon, return to your lodge and spend the remaining time of the day relaxing and preparing for your departure the next day.
DAY 6: Bidding farewell to the spice island.
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and head to the airport for your departure flight back home. Take with you the memories of the island’s experiences and the wonderful time you had, making you want to come back for more.
