Overview
This marvelous adventure takes you through the administrative capital of Tanzania for the first day and then to the famous national parks like Serengeti and then Ngorongoro conservation area. You will traverse these parks in a period of 6 days and then depart the country on the sixth day.
DAY 1: Arusha- Tanzania
Upon arriving at the safari capital of Tanzania’s Northern Safari Circuit, check in at the designated lodge and prepare for the day’s activities. Take in the sights of coffee farms and lush gardens in the area, as well as panoramic views of Mt Meru, Tanzania’s second-highest mountain, from your private veranda. Engage in a full day market excursion and cultural tour in Arusha, visiting the Arusha Heritage Cultural Centre to learn about the local inhabitants. Have a stop for lunch at one of Arusha’s best hotels, where you can enjoy a hearty, locally-prepared meal. Take a guided city walk before returning to the lodge for an overnight stay
DAY 2:Ngorongoro conservation area
Begin your safari early in the morning and head to the Ngorongoro Crater, the largest inactive and unfilled volcanic caldera in Tanzania. Take a game drive through lush forests along the crater walls and listen to the beautiful songs of the birds. Discover different grazing herbivores on the grassy crater floor, as well as the predators attracted by the abundant prey. Depending on the time of year, you may see huge flocks of pink flamingos around the shores of Lake Magadi, and the surrounding swamp is inhabited by hippos.
Explore the sublime scenery further and keep an eye out for the “big five” as you take photos with the diverse African nature as a background. Stop for lunch at a Ngorongoro restaurant, have some refreshments and relax. Continue bird watching with binoculars for a clear and closer view, then return to your accommodation to enjoy the gorgeous African sunset view and a well-organized candlelit dinner
DAY 3: Empakaai crater and cultural tour
Experience a thrilling safari to Empakaai Crater, known for its steep slope and lush forest with ancient fig trees and diverse birdlife. Take the trail to the lakeshore, where you can view water birds such as flamingos. Circumnavigate the lake on foot for a full immersion in the wild surroundings. Stop for lunch at nearby food parlors. Also, visit a Maasai community, learn about their culture and how they have survived through hunting, and witness their customs, norms and beliefs through music and dances. Return to the lodge for an overnight stay.
DAY 4: Travel to Serengeti national park.
Whisk away in 4 by 4 wheeled vehicles for an afternoon game drive. Amble deeply into the heart of the park to catch a glimpse of the different fauna and wild animals. Traverse the endless plain endowed with exhilarating wild animals to witness the great annual wildebeest migration. Also witness a pride of lions in their own habitat as it leaves you with an indelible memory.
End the game drive by visiting the Masaai people to have an insight of their traditional ways of life and culture which they have exhibited up to date regardless of the current modernization in the country. Fully immerse yourself in their culture portrayed through their culture beliefs, norms, customs, music and dances. Head back to the lodge for an overnight stay and wait for the next day’s adventure
DAY 5: Hot air balloon, Bologonja springs and Oldvai gorge
Start your journey before dawn with a guided balloon ride over the Serengeti. Enjoy the sights, sounds and emotions of the flight and learn about this unique mode of travel. Afterwards, take a short drive to the Bologonja Springs, an idyllic spot in the Serengeti National Park, where you can observe resident and migratory animals and different species of monkeys and birds. Have lunch before visiting Olduvai Gorge, known as the “Cradle of Man,” where you can learn about early human history and see fossils and artifacts. End the day with dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
DAY 6: Farewell to Tanzania
Very early in the morning after your breakfast, strike into the return journey to the agreed drop off point as you feast the eyes of the stunning nature around you.
