A 7-Day Luxury Nile Cruise and Alexandria Tour
Overview
7-day Egypt tour visiting Aswan, Luxor, Alexandria. Includes flight to Aswan, tour of Aswan High Dam and Philae temple, Nile cruise to Edfu with Temple of Horus visit, excursion to Valley of the Kings, Temple of Hatshepsut, and Colossi of Memnon, Alexandria visit to Library, Lighthouse, Mosque, Church, and old city-center, before departing from Cairo airport.
Day 1: Arrival in Cairo.
Upon arrival at Cairo airport, you will be greeted by trained guides who will assist with airport procedures and transport you to your pre-booked hotel for check-in. Enjoy hotel services and meals, then spend the night in Cairo.
Day 2: Pyramid & Egyptian Museum.
Start with breakfast, then travel by vehicle to visit the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization. This museum displays 50,000 artifacts showcasing the history of Egyptian civilization. See the Mummies Hall with mummies of King Ramses II, Queen Hatshepsut, and others, and the main exhibition halls. Afterwards, visit the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerions and the Sphinx. End the day with a camel ride through the Egyptian desert, before returning to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 3: Nile Cruise.
After breakfast, take a flight to Aswan for a tour of the Aswan High Dam and Philae Temple. Then, transfer to the Nile Cruise and sail to Kom Ombo, home to a unique temple dedicated to two deities. Continue to Edfu with dinner and a disco party on the cruise, before an overnight stay on board.
Day 4: Edfu Tour
After breakfast, visit the Temple of Horus in Edfu, a well-preserved Ptolemaic temple built between 237-57 BC and dedicated to Horus. Continue the Nile cruise to Luxor and spend the night there.
Day 5: Luxor Nile Cruise
Explore the West Bank of the Nile, visiting the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatsheptsut and the Colossi of Memnon. Experience a full-day excursion to the Necropolis of Thebes. Cross the Nile and visit the tombs of various dynasties in the Valley of Kings. Tour the Temple of Deir El Bahari. On the way back, stop at the Colossi of Memnon, two large statues representing Amenopis III, and visit the Temple of Hatshepsut. Enjoy lunch on the cruise, then have an afternoon of leisure with an afternoon tea.
DAY 6, transfer from Luxor to Cairo for a flight to Alexandria.
Start with a visit to the Library of Alexandria, the largest library in the world with 8 million books, and its open court and museums. Tour the Site of the Lighthouse, now the castle of Qaitbey, and the royal gardens of King Farouk, the royal palaces of Haramlek and Salamlek, and the royal beaches. See the Abbo Elabbas Mosque, memorial of the Unknown Soldier, and statue of Alexander the Great. After lunch, visit the oldest church in Africa, St. Mark’s Church. Drive along the Cornish to see the city of Alexandria from the sea, including the old harbor and the famous bridge of Stanley. Walk through the old city-center built by Alexander the Great. Overnight stay in Alexandria.
Day 7:Departure
After breakfast in Alexandria, transfer to Cairo airport for your departure flight, with assistance through the final departure formalities, marking the end of the trip.
