Upon reaching Mgahinga National Park in the evening, you’ll check into your pre-booked accommodation within the park. After the day’s journey, you’ll have time to refresh, unwind, and enjoy a well-deserved night’s rest to prepare for the exciting days ahead.

Here, you’ll receive an essential briefing on gorilla trekking, including valuable tips, rules, and regulations to ensure your safety and enhance your experience. Following the briefing, you’ll set off into the forest, accompanied by professional guides from the Uganda Wildlife headquarters office.

The trek leads you through muddy trails, with the scent of raw earth in the air and the forest alive with the sounds of various bird species. You might even catch a glimpse of a forest elephant along the way. The anticipation builds as you inch closer to your gorilla family.
