Day-by-day itinerary

1: Arrival at Entebbe and connect flight to Bwindi

Upon arrival at Entebbe, you will be welcomed by our experienced guide, who will introduce you to Uganda, and also help you connect to a flight to Bwindi impenetrable national park. Feel free to ask all the questions you need to know about Uganda as you wait for your continuing charter flight to Bwindi impenetrable national park. Have a rest in a luxury lodge in Bwindi impenetrable national park, most preferably a gorilla safari lodge.

2:Bwindi gorilla trekking and transfer to Kibale

From a night’s rest, embark on the most sought-after safari experience in Africa; gorilla trekking. Gorilla trekking safaris in Uganda and rwanda mark the epitome of almost all of the African primate safari journeys. Bwindi impenetrable national park is the best destination for this activity supported by the many gorilla families distributed all through the forest. You will have lunch back at the lodge, and then transfer to kibale national park.  The scenic journey to Kibale will last for about 6 hours. Reaching, you will check into your luxury safari lodge on the fringes of Kibale National Park; preferably Crater Safari Lodge.

3: Chimpanzee trekking and transfer to Entebbe for connecting flight to Nairobi

In the morning, you will have an early morning breakfast, and then join the other travelers for chimpanzee tracking in kibale national park. Chimpanzee tracking in kibale national park offers insights into the behavioral similarities of chimps and humans. The one-hour encounter with the habituated chimpanzees offers the best knowledge about the communication tacts, copulation, family bonding and feeding habits of these primates.

Bigodi community visit is a revelation into the survival of the Bakiga women. Witness the Seeds and Stories organization and other women’s initiatives to help support the livelihood of their families and the community at large. The women of the area learn weaving and tailoring of local crafts which they sell to the tourists. At Tahfeez, we encourage travelers to support local businesses as a way to give back to the community.

By evening, you will drive to Kasese airstrip for your chartered flight to Entebbe International Airport, where you will take a connecting flight to Nairobi. You will have a night’s stay in Nairobi at Tamarind Tree Hotel.

4: Nairobi Giraffe Center tour and transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park

The early morning delight in Nairobi is the transfer to the giraffe center. Enjoy the encounter with some of the biggest mammals left on earth at the Giraffe Center in Nairobi. The giraffe center is a testament to the conservation of the once-endangered Rothschild giraffes in Africa. Spend time with the giraffes even take a chance to feed them, take photos. Enjoy other animals like the warthogs, and birds.

Thereafter, you will enjoy the Nairobi city tour to the Nairobi street kitchen for lunch before continuing to Lake Nakuru National Park. 

You will check into Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge in Lake Nakuru. Spend a night’s rest unwinding for the adventure ahead.

5: Flamingos and game drive full-day Nakuru

Enjoy a full-day expedition to Lake Nakuru as your 5th day for the 14-day East Africa combined safari experience. Lake Nakuru, famously known for the flamingoes, is also home to over 500 bird species, giraffes, Makalia Falls, and the famous three hills; Lion Hill, Honeymoon Hill, and Enasoit Hill. 

Enjoy the game drive along many lakes in the park; mesmerize with the sightings of wildlife like the Burchells zebra, Thomson’s gazelle, Rothschild’s giraffe, white and black rhinos, elephants, water bucks, lions, and cheetahs among others. Visit the flamingoes that paint Lake Nakuru pink during the peak season for safari: December to April. The peak safari season also attracts a lot of other migratory birds  to the lake shores in Lake Nakuru National Park 

You will return to the Lion Hill at your tranquil lodge and enjoy a night’s stay, preparing for another African adventure.

6: Amboseli National Park Expedition

After a sumptuous breakfast at the lodge, you will connect to the journey leading to Amboseli National Park. The journey takes about 6 hours by road transport, which is a ride through the picturesque landscape of the countryside of Kenya. Enjoy the sightings of the several farmlands and plantations along the road. You can enjoy encountering the local roadside vendors, who provide in-depth information about the lifestyle in countryside Kenya.

Reaching Amboseli National Park, you will check into your safari lodge situated in the very best location for game viewing; preferably Ol Tukai Lodge. After settling in, you will enjoy lunch and relax or embark on a nature walk to witness the natural endowment of the Amboseli National Park firsthand.

The nature walk in Amboseli National Park will lead you to the Maasai community; the ancestral inhabitants of the area. The encounter with the masai tribe offers an insightful immersion into the way of life coexisting with the predators in the area. Learn about their cultural beliefs, hunting skiing, farming, and the strongholds that keep their heritage intact in this error.

You will have a night’s stay in Ol Tukai Lodge, where you will have a hearty dinner and tranquil rest, recommendable for the next day’s adventures.

7: Wildlife encounter and transfer to Arusha

This day unveils the wildlife adventure of Amboseli National Park. Known for its several elephant herds, Amboseli National Park is the best place to take wildlife photography. The several elephant herds and the backdrop of the Kilimanjaro snow peak, give the best photography for an African safari. 

The game drive in Amboseli National Park presents the chance to see the big five game of Africa. Enjoy the African elephants that roam the park’s open savannahs. The morning game drive, also known as the golden hours; and the evening, offer the best wildlife view in Amboseli National Park. 

The water banks on lakes offer the best sightings of wildlife as crowds gather for a bath and refreshment during the hot days. Enjoy sightings of hyenas, lions, leopards, elephants, and cheetahs among others.

 In the afternoon, you will transfer to Arusha via the Namanga border crossing. The journey lasts just 3 hours and 40 minutes by road. Reaching in the evening, you will check into your hotel in Arusha City; preferably Karama Lodge 

Enjoy a hearty dinner in the restaurant, and a relaxing bath to rejuvenate for more adventure awaiting for the next day.

8: Morning transfer to Ngorongoro full day

After a hearty breakfast, you will embark on another adventure journey to the Ngorongoro crater conservation area. The drive will only last for approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes in total.

Reaching the Ngorongoro conservation area, the tranquility invites you into this wildlife trove. The game drive in the Ngorongoro conservation area promises a variety of wildlife sightings from elephants, antelopes, lions, cheetahs, wildebeest herds, and beautiful scenery.

Specifically, the descent road down the crater promises spectacular views and a perfect position for photography. Enjoy seeing the black and white rhinos, zebras, hyenas, and herds of wildebeest along the water banks of Lake Ndutu.

In the afternoon, you will visit the Maasai community. Significantly, the masai people are the most prominent tribe in the Ngorongoro Crater conservation area. Furthermore, you can also visit other tribes like the Hadzabe tribe which is one of the most ancient tribes in Tanzania. With the distinctive language of the Hadzbe people, you will be surprised.

In the evening after the Ngorongoro expedition, you will check into your lodge; preferably Ngorongoro Wild Camp for midrange or Neptune Ngorongoro luxury lodge.

9: Transfer to Serengeti National Park and Masai Village visit

From a sumptuous breakfast, you will embark on another thrilling trip through the picturesque landscapes of northern Tanzania to Serengeti National Park. The journey from the Ngorongoro conservation area is approximately a 6-hour drive, enjoy the scenery of the rolling hills and the Savanhnna plains as you reach Serengeti National Park. 

Reaching the park, you will check into your lodge preferably Olmara Camp for luxury Serengeti Ark Safari Lodge, or Serengeti Sound of Silence for midrange. After settling into your lodge, you will enjoy relaxation, enjoy a nature walk around the lodge or unwind with a soothing beverage from the restaurant bar. 

Lastly, you will spend the night in Serengeti, enjoying the tranquil night with the soothing sound of the crickets, hyenas, and hippos as they move around to graze in the night. Have a rejuvenating night as you prepare for the Serengeti full-day wildlife adventure.

10: Morning hot air balloon, full-day expedition, and relaxation

The day begins with excitement for the early morning wildlife encounters in Serengeti National Park. After breakfast, you will enjoy the hot air balloon game viewing experience. The hot air balloon in Serengeti National Park is the best way to see the great migration of the wildebeest. From thousands of feet above ground, the views beneath are spectacular, take time to enjoy the most vivid photos of the wildlife through an aerial view.

From the hot air balloon, you will enjoy your parked meals after, embarking on a cultural tour to the Massai community. Immerse yourself once more into the masai culture, and their bravery to coexist with the wild big cats in the savannah plains. Take time to interact with the masai people, learn about their local dances and the quest to manhood which desires a teenage boy to hunt a lion- fierce.

You will enjoy an evening game drive back to the lodge, Don’t forget to take the sundowner photos of the African wilderness with the crimson sunset above the savannah horizon. Return to the lodge, and enjoy a campfire or relaxation in the lobby. You can exchange stories with the other travelers at the inn.

11: Fly to Kigali City full-day tour

As the day breaks, you will enjoy a well-prepared breakfast, then check out of the lodge. You will join the safari trail to Seronera Airstrip for a charter flight to Kigali. The journey to Kigali will take about 5 hours and 30 minutes. 

Reaching Kigali city, you will have lunch at a nice five-star restaurant in Kigali or your hotel. Alternatively, you can enjoy the Kigali city tour before checking in to your hotel. The Kigali city tour promises a cultural encounter when you visit the king’s palace. Delve into the history of rwanda by visiting the presidential museum and the genocide grounds.

After rounding up all the interesting sites plus the magnificent conventional center, you will enjoy a night’s stay at the hotel in Kigali. If the adventure spirit in you is still raging, you can enjoy the Kigali nightlife.

12: Travel to Volcanoes National Park for golden monkey trekking and nature walk

In the morning, you will join a short drive to Volcanoes National Park. Significantly, the country roads in rwanda explain the reason for being called the land of a thousand hills. The drive will take about 2 hours. You will reach the park headquarters, where you will be assigned a guide and hiking sticks to help navigate the terrain of Volcanoes National Park. 

With the help of the guide, he will lead you into the hills through the bamboo and thickest to the highest altitude, where you will see the golden monkeys. Significantly, the golden monkey is a rare primate species only found in Volcanoes National Park and Mghainga National Park in Uganda. 

You will spend a one-hour encounter with the golden monkeys. Take time to get photos of the golden monkeys. Learn about the different interaction and communication tacts of the golden monkeys. The fluffy fur and the golden hue make it interesting to watch as they jump from one tree to another.

You can also enjoy birding in Volcanoes National Park after the golden monkey tracking experience. Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda harbors over 200 bird species, with over 27 species endemic to Volcanoes National Park. Along the birding nature walks, you can also enjoy visiting the Dian Fossey tomb; a prominent primatologist of all time.

13: Transfer to Lake Kivu for relaxation after a long safari

In the morning, you will transfer from the Volcanoes National Park to Lake Kivu. This day you will spend the day enjoying and relaxing from a fortinite of epic adventure journeys across east Africa. Contrarily, you can opt for a sundowner boat cruise at Lake Kivu. Visit one of the fishing villages. 

Lake Kivu is a special place for birding with over 60 species of rare birds. Specifically, nature walks along Lake Kivu offers photography opportunities to birders. Also, take photos of the African woodpecker, yellow beak, weaver birds, and sacred ibis.

Thereafter, for charitable work enthusiasts, a visit to Imbabazi orphanage offers a great opportunity to donate to the orphanage. Specifically, the orphanage is for the children left during the genocide. It has now transformed into a better place for many orphans from around rwanda.

While the evening drops, you will spend the night at a lodge overlooking the lake. The tranquility of the evening and the night will rejuvenate you and bring you back from the long safari across east Africa. You can spend a night at Rwiza Village overlooking Lake Kivu or Cleo Lake Kivu Hotel a luxury accommodation.

14: Transfer to Kigali International Airport for a flight back home
